Functioning of liquid storage tanks
Structure : Cryogenic Vessel is essentially a double walled cylindrical tank, annular space between inner and outer vessel is filled with insulating material and evacuated to a high vacuum to achieve minimum evaporation losses. The cold converter is fitted with pressure building arrangement with automatic pressure build – up regulator.
Operation : Design of cryogenic equipment like vessels is compact, sturdy and easy to operate. Top end liquid filling reduces the pressure inside the tank and pressure increases in bottom filling. Pressurizing system enables operator to increase the pressure during liquid unloading to tanks or gas line vaporizers. By regulating the opening of both top and bottom filling valves, there is no significant change of pressure during liquid delivery. This results in constant liquid supply to vaporizer.
Capability : Storage at temperature up to (-196°C) ranging from 200 liters to 1,50,000 liters with option of low and high pressure Cold converters are used to allow the supply pressure pipe line networks after gasification in atmospheric heat exchangers, storage tanks supply networks or tanks of smaller capacity for low liquid temperature directly.
