add to bring all oil level back to normal. |
| Leak in suction line to oil pump | Drain 0i1 Out of crankcase. Remove tube to oil pump suction. Pressurize compressor enough to force oil out of, tube.' Then reply ace tube. pressurize compressor to 5 Psig or more and look for air bubbles. |

Drain
oil out of crankcase. Remove tube to oil pump suction.
Press rise compressor enough to force oil out of tube.
Then replace tube.Pressureise compressor to 5 Psig
or more and lock for air bubbles. |
| Oil in compressor becomes grey colored: | |
| Oil has not been changed often enough. | Drain out oil. Refill
with light medium non foaming lubricating oil. |
| Oil pump belt is broken. | lighten the belt by repositioning the pump or replace the belts. |
| Oil level is too low. | Check oil level and oil if necessary. |
| Compressor suction pressure is near zero. | Get compressor suction pressure unto normal. |
| Oil pump suction line is clogged. | Clean oil suction line. |
| Oil pump defective | Repair or replace oil pump. |
| Compressor is not pumping to capacity: | |
| First stage valves leaking | Clean and lap first stage valves. |
| Suction pressure is low | Refer 10.5.1 |
| Compressor III stage pops discharges rapidly: | |
| Manual valve on compressor closed | Open valve also check
operation of high pressure switch. It should have shut
down the compressor. |
| Compressor 2nd stage valve pops discharges rapidly: | |
| Third stage valve leaking due to breakage of valve plate of sparing | Remove third stage head and clean valves. |
| Second stage valve leaking due to breakage of valve plate or spring. | Replace valve plate or spring. |
